SEM. Jeanne GUEHE

Embassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the RepublicCôte d'Ivoire to the Commonwealth of Australia and the Republic of Indonesia.

Ambassador Jeanne GUEHE graduated from the National University, the Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA) of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire and the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, in Austria.

Her Excellency started her professional life as a financial analyst at the Chase Manhattan Bank branch of Côte d’Ivoire and as a German High School teacher.

As a diplomat, she occupied several positions in the civil the service in different ministerial departments namely the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

She was appointed as Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain and Permanent Representative to the World Tourism Organization from 2002 to 2008.

Since 1st December 2017, Her Excellency Jeanne GUEHE is the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire to the Commonwealth of Australia.  

She speaks French, German, English and Spanish.

She is a member of Women Entrepreneurs of Côte d’Ivoire as well as the founder of ADEHINKE, an NGO created to empower women in rural areas.

Ambassador GUEHE was awarded in 2002 with the Medal of Officer of Côte d’Ivoire and the Spanish Medal of Civil Merit in the Isabella the Catholic Order.
